Anker has revealed its first solar-powered beach umbrella at CES 2025, designed to charge outdoor devices like phones or coolers. This innovative umbrella is part of the SOLIX lineup, which also features energy-efficient products such as portable power stations and solar generators. These products are meant to power home appliances during blackouts and emergencies.
Solar-Powered Innovation
Unlike many other solar-powered umbrellas available today, Anker’s umbrella stands out due to its use of perovskite solar cells. These cells are claimed to deliver 30% better performance than traditional crystalline silicon cells in bright light and double the efficiency in low light conditions. The umbrella contributes to reducing pollution and lowering greenhouse gas emissions, making it both practical and eco-friendly.
Additional Features and Functionality
- The umbrella offers 80 watts of power through a USB-C port, ideal for charging portable devices.
- It can power devices like EverFrost 2 or other compatible products using an XT-60 connection, which connects a battery to motors or electronics.
- Anker also unveiled the EverFrost electric cooler and a karaoke speaker with an AI voice-removal function.
While the umbrella’s price hasn’t been disclosed yet, it is expected to be available by spring or summer.
